In September of 1981, an Ad Hoc
Committee presented recommendations to the City Council which suggests that
there be no more than one license for every 5,000 population.

The Council has been asked to consider the possibility of expanding the
permitted off-sale liquor licenses to three or more.

Included in the reference material are the recommendations from the Ad Hoc
Committee in 1981.

Recommendation:

The City Council is asked to reviev the recommendations of the 1981 Ad Hoc
Liquor Committee. If a change is desired in current ordinance which permits
two liquor licenses within the corporate limits of the City of Ramsey, then an
ordinance must be introduced amending that number. Otherwise, no further
action is required.

Review Checklist:

Administrator
Attorney
Engineer
Community Development Dir.

X
X

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Public Works Superintendent
Other
