Counc i 1member <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />IESOLUTION $86- <br /> <br />· ESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTI~ATOI~ TO ENTER INTO A JOINT <br />POWERS AGREEMENT TO FO1LM A COALITION OF METROPOLITAN COMMUNITIES AND TO REMIT <br />TIlE 1986 MEI~BERSHIP FEE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey wishes to cooperate with the neighboring <br />communities of the northern Twin Cities Metropolitan Area in their effort to <br />attract State and regional investment which would benefit the region. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~¥ THE CITer COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~u~I~SEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as followa: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey authorizes its Mayor and City <br />Administrator to enter into a joint powers agreement to form a Coalition of <br />Metropolitan Communities in the form attached hereto. <br /> <br /> 2) Further, that the expenditure of $222.20 is authorized for the <br />1986 annual fee for membership in the Northern Mayors Association. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly aeconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 27th day of May, 1986. <br /> <br /> <br />
