HIT TO EXPAJ[D EXISTING <br /> CRURCB ~ACILZTY; CASE OF TROTTBRO0~ GOSPEL HALL <br /> By: Anne ~orrie, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Trott Brook Gospel Rall is requesting a conditional use permit to expand the <br />existing church facility to accommodate the growth of the congregation. <br />Churches are not permitted uses in the R-1 Residential District. The church is <br />proposing to put the new addition on the north end of the existing facility. <br />The church is proposing to add on two stories, each consisting of approximately <br />3,000 square feet. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Co~mission conducted a public bearing on this request <br />on May 6, 1986. <br /> <br />Included in the reference material are the following for your information: <br /> <br />a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Public hearing notice <br />d) Properties notified <br />e) Proposed site plan <br />f) Proposed findings of fact <br />g) Proposed conditional use permit agreement <br /> <br />Obset~vations: <br /> <br />As there have been no complaints regarding the existing facility and the <br />proposed expansion would not be detrimental to the neighboring properties, the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the request by Trott Brook <br />Gospel Hall be approved. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Findings of Fact 00 relating to a request by Trott Brook Gospel <br />Hall for a conditional use permit to expand the existing church facility. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Approve the request by Trott Brook Gospel Hall for a conditional use <br />permit to expand the existing church facility at 17320 Nowthen Blvd. KW <br />contingent upon the applicant entering into a conditional use permit <br />agreement with the City. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Dir. <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Planning and Zoning Comm.
