ORDINANCE #16-11 <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 26 KNOWN AS THE LICENSES, PERMITS AND <br /> MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26 BY REPEALING ARTICLE VIII TITLED <br /> GASOLINE SALES (SECTIONS 26-283 THROUGH 26-284) AND REPEALING <br /> ARTICLE X TITLED MOTOR VEHICLE SALES, REPAIR AND RENTAL (SECTIONS <br /> 26-357 THROUGH 389) <br /> The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Home Rule Charter of the <br /> City of Ramsey, Section 3.4 Ordinances, Resolutions and Motions. <br /> SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br /> Chapter 26, Article VIII titled "Gasoline Sales, Sec. 26-283 — 26-284 is hereby repealed AND <br /> Chapter 26, Article X titled Motor Vehicle Sales, Repair and Rental, Sec. 26-357 — 26-389 is <br /> hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 3. SUMMARY <br /> The following is the official summary of Ordinance 916-11 which has been approved by the City <br /> Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br /> Ordinance. The Ordinance repeals the existing City Code Section 26-283 — 26-284 and Section <br /> 26-367 —26-389. This amendment would eliminate the requirement for an annual license to sell <br /> gasoline and to sell, rent and/or repair motor vehicles. <br /> SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> This Ordinance becomes effective upon thirty (30) days after its passage and publication subject <br /> to City Charter, Chapter 5.7. <br /> PASSED by the City Council this the day of November, 2016. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
