Case#7: Consider Offer to Amend Lease with Northwest Anoka County Community <br /> Consortium Located at 6701 Highway 10 <br /> Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reviewed the staff report. <br /> Councilmember Look stated he was in agreement with this proposal. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to authorize the City <br /> Administrator and Mayor to execute the Second Amendment to Lease for Part of Commercial <br /> Building Located at 6701 Highway 10 NW, and authorize advance of$5,000 to Youth First from <br /> ad revenue generated from the Ramsey Newsletter, and direct staff to either case marketing the <br /> westerly office space at 6701 Highway 10 NW, and to remove Premier Commercial Properties as <br /> property manager of 6701 Highway 10 NW with proper notification. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Look, Elvig, Dehen, McGlone, . <br /> and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey, <br /> Economic Development Coordinator summarized the utility costs for the Youth First space. He <br /> noted the property currently cash flowed to make the utility payments. <br /> Councilmember Look stated Ramsey had put in less financially than other communities, but had <br /> basically donated the space and even if the City participated in the utility cost, the City was still <br /> putting in less than other communities. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Mayor Ramsey to direct staff regarding the City <br /> participation in the utility costs for the Youth First space. <br /> Further discussion: Mayor Ramsey noted tax dollars were going to support Youth First. <br /> Councilmember McGlone indicated if a for profit business wanted to lease the building, Youth <br /> First would be required to leave upon notice. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Elvig, Dehen, Look, McGlone, <br /> and Wise. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> Case#8: Consider Resolution for 2010 State Bonding Request for Ramsey Rail Station <br /> and Request Support of State Representative Abeler and State Senator <br /> Jungbauer <br /> City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report. <br /> Motion by Mayor Ramsey, seconded by Councilmember Wise,to Authorize Resolution 09-11- <br /> 292 to Consider 2010 State Bond Request for Ramsey Rail Station and request support of State <br /> Representative Abeler and Senator Jungbauer. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Wise, Dehen, Elvig, Look, and <br /> McGlone. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> City Council/November 24,2009 <br /> Page 10 of 11 <br />
