The Council and staff each introduced themselves to Mr. Surma. The Council then preceded to <br /> the interview questions. <br /> Mr. Surma responded and answered all questions. <br /> The Councilmembers and staff thanked Mr. Surma for applying and for his time. <br /> Human Resources Manager Lasher stated she will be in touch with him later in the week. <br /> Brandon Sis was the fourth and last interviewee. Human Resources Manager Lasher invited him <br /> in and reviewed the interview process with him. She stated there would be five questions asked <br /> by the Councilmembers. Both candidates chosen for the vacancies would be contacted later in <br /> the week and asked to complete all paperwork needed immediately. She noted they would ask <br /> the chosen candidates to attend the City Council meeting on October 11, 2016, to be sworn in as <br /> well. <br /> The Council and staff each introduced themselves to Mr. Sis. The Council then preceded to the <br /> interview questions. <br /> Mr. Sis responded and answered all questions. <br /> The Councilmembers and staff thanked Mr. Sis for applying and for his time. <br /> Human Resources Manager Lasher stated she will be in touch with him later in the week. <br /> The Council discussed the interviews and reviewed each candidate's skills and qualities as <br /> pertaining to the vacant positions. <br /> Councilmember Riley stated why he felt Mr. Bayer would be a good fit for a position on the <br /> EDA. <br /> Mayor Strommen and Councilmember Johns agreed with his thoughts. <br /> Mayor Strommen stated she wished Mr. Surma had an interest in Parks and Recreation. <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau stated Mr. Surma had clearly stated he is not interested in the <br /> vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Board. <br /> The Councilmembers agreed he was clear on that. <br /> Human Resources Manager Lasher stated Mr. Surma recently was accepted into the Police <br /> Citizen Academy.
