Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-11-220 <br /> RESOLUTION NOT TO WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT <br /> LIABILITY COVERAGE <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving statutory <br /> tort limits for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to not <br /> waive the statutory tort limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for <br /> LMCIT liability coverage. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof- <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br /> this the 22th day of November, 2016. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br />
