Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-11-230 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTACT FOR <br /> RAMSEY MUNICIPAL COMPLEX SITE DEMOLITION <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted August 23, 2016, the <br /> City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisement for bids for said <br /> project; and <br /> WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on November 14, 2016, and the <br /> following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br /> Contractor Total Bid <br /> DRC, Inc. $119,500.00 <br /> Sauter& Sons, Inc. $137,500.00 <br /> Dryden Excavating, Inc. $138,391.00 <br /> Landwehr Construction, Inc. $144,875.00 <br /> Rachel Contracting, Inc. $163,274.00 <br /> Veit & Company, Inc. $219,963.64 <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of DRC, Inc. of Minnetonka, Minnesota, in the amount of <br /> $119,500.00 for the total bid for said project in accordance with the approved plans and <br /> specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be <br /> and hereby is accepted. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br /> a contract with said bidder for said project for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br /> bidders the deposit made with their bids as such time that a contract has been <br /> executed. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> RESOLUTION #16-10-195 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
