Council Update <br />Ramsey Garden Club Decorates Tree for City Hall Lobby. Since 2007, <br />the City of Ramsey Garden Club has created a beautiful display of Holiday <br />cheer in the Ramsey Municipal Center lobby, with a different themed <br />Christmas tree each year! This year's tree is adorned in a theme of purple <br />and silver ornaments and bows. Also featured are a variety of hydrangeas <br />and ornamental grass seed, grown, collected and dried by the Garden Club <br />members throughout the year. <br />We welcome you to visit the Ramsey Municipal Center to share in the holiday <br />spirit and enjoy the beautifully decorated tree for yourself. The Ramsey <br />Municipal Center's regular hours of operation are Monday -Friday 8:00 am - <br />4:30 pm. <br />Art in the Park: Create Your Own Holiday Card Workshop. Ramsey Parks & Recreation, <br />along with the Rumriver Art Center, present Art in the Park: Create Your Own Holiday Card <br />Workshop, on Thursday, December 1, from 6:30 — 8:00 pm, in the Elmcrest Park Building- 16303 <br />Quicksilver St. NW, Ramsey, MN 55303. In this 1.5 hour class, Rumriver Art Center instructors <br />will guide you to create your own holiday card featuring Ramsey's iconic Snowy Owl. This class <br />is offered for free- suggested donation for materials is $5 per person. Reservations are required <br />and space is limited. The City of Ramsey will <br />host an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, Dec. 5th from 8:30 am — 2:30 pm at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center. Attached to the Weekly Update is the City of Ramsey <br />Blood Drive flyer. <br />Successful Ramsey EDA Business Networking Event. 75 <br />local business representatives attended the Ramsey EDA <br />Business Networking Event on Tuesday, November 22 in the <br />Alexander Ramsey Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet, an opportunity to <br />network with other businesses from the Ramsey community, <br />and a presentation by keynote speaker, Tim Herold, President <br />of Herold Precision Metals. This year's program was centered <br />on the topic of addressing workforce shortages and engaging <br />Millennials in the workplace. <br />City Improvement Proiect Updates: <br />Andrie Street and 164th Lane Reconstruction. While work on this project is complete, <br />miscellaneous "punch list" work will be completed next spring. This work includes repairs to <br />irrigation systems, landscaping, and mailboxes, replacement of dead or dying sod, and cleaning <br />sediment from storm sewer pipes and stormwater ponds, among other things. A letter will soon <br />be mailed to all owners of property impacted by this project providing more detailed information <br />on all remaining work and directions for advising City staff of any incomplete work. <br />
