10 i'linutes CASE ~15: <br /> <br /> IBFORl~710H OB B~SIBE$S IBCUBATOR PR~3~CT <br />By: Anne Iorris, Community Develonent Director <br /> <br />Eackground: <br /> <br />As you know) a subcommittee of the Economic Development Commission has been <br />meeting with a subcommittee of the Anoka Economic Development Commission on a <br />joint business incubator facility. One of the mites that was under <br />consideration for this facility was the Kovar building. The subcommittee <br />arranged · tour of the Kovar building for June 24, 1986 to which both City <br />Councils and EDC'o were invited. <br /> <br />The incubator subcommittee met on July 2, 1986 to review concerns with the <br />Eovar building. The subcommittee determined that the idea of an incubator was <br />good and should still be pursued, l/swayer, based on the exten0ive renovation <br />that the Kovar building would need and the high cost of these improvements, the <br />subcommittee determined that the Kovar building was probably not economically <br />feasible for such a facility. <br /> <br />The subcommittee agreed to go back to each Council to reaffirm that both Cities <br />are interested in pursuing a joint incubator project.
