August ~2, ~98~ RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> Haas Steffen <br />OFFERED BY COMMISSIONER <br /> <br />36-?1 <br /> <br /> COUNTY BOARD POLICY - <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM: <br />DISPOSITION Of' EXCESS C..~ANT FUNDS AND PROPERTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 197~ as <br />amended provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoko County Board of Commissioners has been designated os or, <br />"Urban County" by the Federal Housing and Urban Development Deportment on:~ <br />consequently is eligible to participate in the Notional Community Development BJock <br />Grant Program; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoko County Board of Commissioners has directed the <br />preparation of a plan u~der the Community Development Block Grant Program in <br />concert with the municipalities of Anoko County; and, <br /> <br /> WI-I[REAS, in order to participate in the Community Development Block Grant <br />Program~ Anoka County must execute Joint Cooperation Agreements with each of the <br />21 communities; omi, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute S~,71.59 requires that joint cooperation <br />agreements between State agencies provide for dispo~;tion of excess grant funds: <br /> <br /> ~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thcr the Anoka County Board of <br />Commissioners does hereby establish as a matter of policy that: <br /> <br />I. If the Anoka County Community Development Program should terminate~ any <br /> CD~G program income received by a community from that point forward or any <br /> property purchased by a community with Community Development Block Grant <br /> funds shall remain with the community. <br /> <br />2.
