10.123 <br /> <br /> 1. <br /> <br />10.12~ <br /> <br /> 1. <br /> <br />1. Legislative lobbying. <br /> <br />Utilities for residential development around landfill. <br /> <br />The LAC shall consist of nine (9) voting ~embers vho shall be <br />appointed by the City Council and ~ay be removed by a majority vote <br />of the Council. <br /> <br />Of the ~embers of the compression first appointed, three (3) shall be <br />appointed for the term of one (1) year, three (3) for the ter~ of t~o <br />(2) years, and three (3) for the term of three (3) years. Their <br />successors shall be appointed for terms of three years. ~oth <br />original and successive appointees shall hold their offices until <br />their successors are appointed and qualified. Vacancies during the <br />term shall be filled by the Council for the unexpired portion of the <br />term. Every appointed member shall, before entering upon the <br />discharge of his duties, take an oath that he viii faithfully <br />discharge the duties of his office. All me~bers shall serve vithout <br />co~npensation. Commission members may be reimbursed for their <br />necessary expenses incurred as a result of being a commission ~ember. <br />l~embers should have an interest in the City of Ramsay and surrounding <br />area and at least t~o-thirds (2/3) of its members shall be residents <br />of the City of Ramse7. <br /> <br />The City Council shall appoint the co,~,~ission's first chairman for a <br />one year term. After said first year, the commission shall elect a <br />chairman from a~ong its appointed members for a term of one year and <br />each year thereafter· The commission shall elect at its first <br />~eeting a vice chairman for a term of one year and each year <br />thereafter. The commission may create and fill such other offices as <br />it may determine and create subcommittees as it deems necessary to <br />accomplish its purpose. <br /> <br />The commission shall hold at least one regular meeting each month at <br />a time and place as agreed upon by its members. It shall follov <br />Robert's Rules of Order as revised, 2nd edition, for the transaction <br />of business and shall keep a record of its resolutions, transactions, <br />and findings, vhich record shall be a public record.
