Status of establishment of Landfill Co~l~ission - <br /> <br />Ns. ~orris stated that an ordinance was presented to Council for adoption to <br />establish a Landfill Con,mission; it vas tabled until August 26, 1986 to allow <br />more time to consider appropriate membership co~position. <br /> <br />B. Star City Progra~ - <br /> <br />Ns, Norris stated that she vii1 be attendin8 the Star City Conference on <br />September 16-18 and noted that as many EDC members as possible should also <br />attend that conference. <br /> <br />Co~nissioner Ippel suggested the Co~nission hold a special meetin~ to dc <br />strategic planning with respect to all requirements of the Star City Proira~, <br />other plans the city is tryin~ to implement, an incubator project, additional <br />staffing, etc. <br /> <br />Chairman Oreenberg suggested that this discussion be continued to the next EDC <br />meeting. <br /> <br />C. Extension of Thurston Avenue/coordination of street alignments between <br /> Ramsey and Anoka - <br /> <br />Commission noted that Commissioner Fults and City Engineer Raatikka are working <br />with property owners of Anoka's industrial land adjacent to Ramsay to <br />coordinate alignment of streets through the industrial areas South of Industry <br />Avenue in Ramsay and Anoka. <br /> <br />D. Incubator facility- <br /> <br />Commission noted that on July 22~ 1986, Council directed EDC to continue to <br />work on a business incubator facility in whatever form they determine makes the <br />most sense for Ratnsey. <br /> <br />E. Rick Foster's request for tax increment financin~ assistance - <br /> <br />l'ne Commission noted that on July 22, 1984 Council granted preliminary approval <br />to Nr. Foster's request for tax increment financing for site improvements in <br />the River*s Bend Plaza PUD. <br /> <br />F.
