CASE #5 <br /> <br />SNOW REMOVAL ISSUES IN RAMSEY TOWN CENTER <br /> By: Grant Riemer, Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />During the May Public Works Committee meeting staff was instructed to develop a list of <br />discussion topics concerning snow removal in the Ramsey Town Center development. <br />The following is a draft list of topics that need to be addressed in the near future: <br /> <br />,0 <br /> <br />Level of service provided <br />Sidewalk snow removal (full width? City responsibility? response time?) <br />Hours of operation (nighttime? during business hours?) <br />Parking restrictions (snow emergency routes?) <br />Towing of vehicles <br />Police department enforcement of rules <br />Snow storage (private contractors included?) <br />Contracted help (haul trucks) <br />Lane closures for short term snow storage (interference with emergency services) <br />Rules of operation for private contractors <br />Parking ramp snow removal <br />Maintenance on emergency service roads and City Hall <br />Business association responsibility <br />Noise issues w/late night operations <br />Staffing <br />Equipment rental/leasing policies <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff realizes this is a large list and more thm~ can be sorted out in one meeting.
