CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramscy City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Keith McDonald and Greg Voss of Shingobee Builders <br /> <br />CALIJ TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:07 p.m. and called <br />upon Counci hnember Zimmerman to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, second by Councilmember Elvig, to proclaim August 3, 2004, as the <br />21~t annual National Night Out in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmem~an. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />A representative of the Police Department announced as of this morning there are 29 National <br />Night Out parties that have registered with the City, and they are looking at record numbers. <br />Anyone else interested should contact Chandra Kreyer at the Police Department. He announced <br />that on Monday, August 2nd the Ramsey Police Department will have an open house from 11:00 <br />a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to tour the Police Department; there will be food served <br />throughout the day. <br /> <br />City Council/July 27, 2004 <br /> Page 3 of 35 <br /> <br /> <br />
