Discussion Regardin_~ Joint Economic Develo_~ment And Plannin2 AnO ZoninE Co~isaions Meetin_~: Ns. ~orris recalled that Co~missioners Deemer and Bendrikaen were appointed to a EDC/P&Z subcommittee to review development restrictions in commercial/ industrial areas, performance standards, etc.; that subcommittee is seating Monday, August 11. Brief discussion ensued regarding EDC concerns with performance standards, streamlining the process which developers must follow, enforcement of existing ordinances. The Commission requested that Ms. Norris research what ordinances other communities have in place that address the issue of used car lots and a summary of requirements to be met in R-~sey in order to locate a used car lot in the industrial ares and in the business area. ~OI//IS$ION INPUT Commissioner Zimmerman suggested that the Commission invite someone fro~ the County Engineering Office to give a educational presentation regarding soil borings, lot buildability, etc. The Commission agreed with the suggestion. Motion by Co~missioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Howell to adjourn the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Motion carried. ¥oting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway and ~endriksen.
