LO'dKLL VASSKUR <br />Anne Borrts, Community Development Director <br /> Peter ~aatikka, City Bna/neet <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Lowell Vasseur is requesting a variance to the street frontage requirement <br />for access to the 40 acre parcel located southwest of 155th Avenue NW and <br />Variolite Street NW. Mr. Vasseur is requesting this variance so that he can <br />construct one home on this parcel. <br /> <br />Enclosed are the following items for your information: <br /> <br />a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Thoroughfare plan <br />d) Proposed development agreement <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed Nr. Vasseur's request and <br />determined that the property was buildable. The Commission also recommended <br />approval of Mr. Vasseur's request and asked that the City consider obtaining a <br />40 foot easement on the northern boundary of the property for the future <br />extension of 155th Avenue NW. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed Hr. Vasseur's request on July 22, 1986 and requested that <br />City Engineer Raatikka and the property owner discuss the roadway easement and <br />come back with their findings. The City Engineer determined that the road <br />alignment and easement should be 40 feet along the northern boundary of )ir. <br />Vasseur's property. The City Engineer has discussed the alignment with )ir. <br />Vas seur · <br /> <br />The City Council tabled this item on August 26, 1986 until Mr. Vasseur could be <br />present to discuss the proposed easement. <br /> <br />Recosmendation: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Approve Mr. Lowell Vasseur's request for a variance to the street frontage <br />requirement contingent upon Mr. Yasseur entering into an agreement with <br />the City limiting future development of that property and requesting a 40 <br />foot easement on the northern boundary of the parcel to the City for the <br />future extension of 155th Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> <br /> <br />
