By:

KEQUEST FOR METES AND BOUNDS
CASE OF HS. MARL¥S SCBINDELDECKER
Anne Norris, Community Development Director

Background:

Ms. Schindeldecker is requesting a metes and bounds subdivision of a 5 acre
parcel located at 8106 153rd Avenue NW. Ma. Schindeldecker is proposing to
split this existing 5 acre parcel into two 2-1/2 acre parcels, Ms,
Schindeldecker has stated that this parcel is the only parcel located adjacent
to Whispering Pines Estates Plat 2 that has not been split into smaller
parcels.

Enclosed for your information is a site location map of the subject property.

Observations:

In the past, the Commission has directed requests for metes and bounds
subdivisions to go through the minor platting process.

Ms. Schindeldecker requested a metes and bounds subdivision of this property in
1983. At that time, the Planning Commission recommended denial of the request
based on the fact that the City's policy at that time required platting of all
subdivisions. In addition, the Commission noted that the density of the
requested subdivision would not be consistent with the density of the plat
adjacent to that parcel. The City Council denied Ms. Schindeldecker's request
as recommended by the Planning Commission.

Recommendations:

Commission Action:

Will be based on your discussion with Ms. $chindeldecker.

Review Checklist:

Administrator . .
Attorney
Engineer
Community Development Director X

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Public Works Superintendent
Other
