City Engineer summary of cost
estimates received does not itemize the work to be done.

Mr. Hartley stated that there is extensive recaulking to be done on the
building.

Councilmember DeLuca inquired if recaulking would be a temporary or permanent
solution to water penetration problem at city hall.

Mr. Hartley replied that caulking is part of general maintenance which has been
neglected at city hall for some time.

Councilmember Cox stated that materials used in construction of city hall were
supposed to reduce maintenance required. Suggested that there might be a way
to resolve water penetration problems with a drainage system that would utilize
the ground and surface water to drive a heat transfer pump for heating and
cooling purposes in city hall.

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to table
the case of repairs to city hall building until the next regular Council
meeting.

Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley noted that one of the bids for the repairs
states that the bid will be withdrawn after 30 days.

Motion carried.
