Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Howell to approve <br />special joint Planning and Zoning and Economic Development Commission meeting <br />minutes dated Setpember 22, 1986. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, Howell, Hendriksen, and LaDue. Voting no: None. Absent: <br />Commissioner Shumway. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />i. Public hearing and regular City Council meeting minutes dated August 26, <br />1986. <br /> <br />2. Special City Council meeting minutes dated September 2, 1986. <br /> <br />3. Special City Council meeting minutes dated September 9, 1986. <br /> <br />4. Public hearings and special City Council meeting minutes dated September <br />15, 1986. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Request for Conditional Use Permit to Move in Residential Garage <br />for Commercial Use in B-1 Business District_:__Case of Berndt <br />Develovment Co.. Inc. <br /> <br />No one representing Berndt Development Co., Inc. was present. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to table this <br />case until the applicant or his representative can be present. <br /> <br />Further discussion: The Commission noted that the proposed location of the <br />garage and photos of the structure should be available for Commission review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners LaDue, <br />Hendriksen, Howell, Zimmerman and Deemer. Voting no: lqone. Absent: <br />Commissioner Shumway. <br /> <br />Request for Conditional Use Permit to Overate Nursery and Retail <br />Sal~ in R-IR Residential District: Case of Dale Wi;z <br /> <br />Mr. Dale Wirz was present. Chairman Peterson asked how much of the building <br />was proposed to be used for retail operations? Mr. Wirz stated that 800 square <br />feet of the building would be used for retail sales if the conditional use <br />permit is approved. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman asked Mr. Wirz if he is planning to build more buildings <br />on the property and whether Mr. Wirz wanted to use all of the 900' of frontage <br />on Highway 47 for retail sales. Mr. Wirz stated that he would like to use the <br />entire westerly 4-1/2 acres of his property for retail activities.
