Skelg·s is willing to lease their pump for $150/month and provide the <br />prop·ne gas at $.46/gsllon. The City will then have to rent or purchase pipe. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter <br />authorizing · m~ximum expenditure of $15,000 to be taken from the City's <br />Unallocated Fund to be matched with a $15,000 grant from DNR for drainage <br />relief purposes. Further, to direct Councilmember Cox to work with City Staff <br />on the draiuage project and that the $15,000 will include equipment rental <br />and/or purchase and fuel costs. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr, Raatikka stated that DNR will provide the City with an <br />initial $7500.00 to begin the project; the remaining $7500.00 viii be <br />reimbursed to the City after receipts are submitted reflecting that $30,000 has <br />been spent. Mr. Raatikka noted that if sufficient drainage relief is realized <br />prior to spending $15,000 of the City's money, the project will cease and DNR <br />will reimburse the matching amount minus the initial $7500.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Schlueter and Cox. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Request To Move In An Existing House And Garage; Case Of Richard <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. St·burn is proposing to locate the house and garage <br />on a 2-1/2 acre lot at 16501 Marmoset. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />Mr. St·burn's request to move in an existing house and garage to 16501 Marmoset <br />provided the home meets the convert·ncc established for that neighborhood. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Cox and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Emergency Calling System At Pumphouse - <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Reimann stated that he received a call from the wife of Public <br />Works Superintendent, Merle Nevissen, regarding the emergency system at the <br />pumphouse. When the system turns off, it call people automatically and <br />evidently the system wasn't finding anybody at home but her. Acting Mayor <br />Reimann stated that he has discussed the matter with Mr. Nevi·sen; maybe <br />during labor negotiations something can be arranged to have public work·men on <br />call on a rotating basis for emergencies at the pumphouse. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg directing <br />the Personnel Committee to research an acceptable procedure to handle <br />emergencies at the pumphouse. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
