CASE ~8: <br /> <br /> INFORHATION ITEHS <br />By: Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The following items are for your information: <br /> <br />a) City Council denied Hr. and Hrs. Cary Rice's request for a conditional <br /> use permit to operate a tuxedo rental operation from their home. <br /> <br />b) City Council granted preliminary approval of the second phase of <br /> Northfork P.U.D. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission reviewed the second phase of Northfork <br />P.U.D. and recommended that the City's park dedication requirements be <br />met by the acquisition of land for multiple use trails within the <br />P.U.D. <br /> <br />d) City Council approved the final plat of River's Bend Second Addition. <br /> <br />e) City Council approved Mr. Rick Foster's request for City participation <br /> (tax increment funds) in River's Bend Plaza P.U.D. <br /> <br />f) <br /> <br />City Council approved a request from ~orthstar Outdoor Education, Inc. <br />for a conditional use permit to operate a tube/canoe rental business <br />in the Rum River Central Park. <br /> <br />g) City Council approved Mr. Jim Nachtwey's request for a metes and <br /> bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />h) City Council approved Mr. Bruce Bacon's request for a metes and bounds <br /> subdivision. <br /> <br />i) <br /> <br />City Council directed Staff to meet with Mr. Larry Hickman to resolve <br />concerns regarding Plants and Things. Councilmember Cox and I met <br />with Mr. Hickman on July 24, 1986 to discuss these issues. Mr. <br />Hickman agreed that he would submit a plan which would show his <br />designated parking areas, his time table for surfacing these parking <br />areas and his plans for exterior renovation of the pole barn accessory <br />structure. Councilmember Cox told Mr. Hickman that he didn't think he <br />needed to have a certified survey of the property and that the sketch <br />Mr. Hickman submitted to City Staff would be acceptable for the City's <br />records. <br /> <br /> <br />
