Council Update Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet of Anoka County Collection Sites at Ramsey City Hall. The City of Ramsey is hosting a collection site for Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet of Anoka County this holiday season! Each year hundreds of community volunteers from these programs work together to help bring holiday cheer to Anoka County families and seniors in need. If you would like to contribute a new toy, book, or clothing item, a drop-off box for both organizations can be found in the lobby of the Ramsey City Hall. Attached to the Weekly Update are Toys for Joy and Granny's Closet of Anoka County Flyers. Recycle Your Unwanted Holiday Lights. Discovered old or broken strands of lights while decorating your home for the holidays? Rather than tossing your old strings of lights in the garbage, bring them to the Ramsey Municipal Center to recycle them for free! The City of Ramsey will once again be a collection site for old holiday lights, as well as electric cords, telephone cords and appliance cords. Drop off bins will be located in the lobby of the Ramsey Municipal Center, now through January 31 st! Tickets are available at www.northemstarz.org Attached to the Weekly Update is Northern Starz Children's Theatre - Annie Jr. Flyer. • Toys for Tots Santa Train — Help support Toys for Tots by bringing a new, unwrapped toy and ride for FREE on the Northstar Train with Santa on Saturday, December 17. The train will depart from the Ramsey Station at 11:16 am. Enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and pictures with Santa. The Free Santa Train will return from Target Field Station at 2:30 pm. Attached to the Weekly Update is the Toys for Tots Santa Train Flyer. • Northern Light Church presents A Walk to the Stable — Saturday, December 17, 6:00 — 8:00 pm, Oliver Kelley Farm- 15788 Kelley Farm Rd., Elk River. This informative and inspirational journey will include a candle -lit walk back in time where you'll meet all the essential characters from the first Christmas, complete with a live nativity in the barn with live animals. This event is open to people from any church or any religion to come and discover a side of Christmas they never knew!
