I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> AND ZONING GOMM~SION <br /> I~3BLIC BEARING <br /> CITY OF RA~EY <br /> ANGKA O~UNTY <br />S~%TE OF MINNESO~% <br /> <br />~he Ramsey Planning a~d ~.on~ng Co~nission oonducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, Pebruary 4, 1986 atthe Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Wayne Knudson's request for a oondttional <br />use permit to operate a home occupation. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, <br />Mr. Ben De,er <br />Mr. ~y Sh~,way <br />Mr. Gerald Zi~merman <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. T~rry Bendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />(~airman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br /> <br />~hairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Knudson and his attorney, Jim Nielson, were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Nielson stated that Mr. Knudson is petitioning for a oonditional use permit <br />to operate a ~ement oontracting business from his new b~me to be located on a <br />20 acre parcel along Armstrong Blvd. Mr. Knudson also owns an adjoining 17-1/2 <br />acre parcel. Mr. Nielson then presented a video of Mr. lrnudson's present <br />home/business in a residential area of Andover and the proposed location for <br />the home/business in Ramsey. Mr. Nielson stated that Concrete Conoepts ~ploys <br />25 persons; the only activity involved on the residential property will be 6-8 <br />~ployees arriving in the morning to get ~ompany equifment and those ~mployees <br />returning the ~ompany equifment in the evening. ~he o0mpany eguiImm_nt involves <br />t~o 1-ton trucks, one 1 1/2 ton truck, one 2-ton truck, 2 bobcats with <br />trailers. A 44' x 63' accessory building has been built on the property at <br />Armstrong Blvd. ~his building will house all company equil~ent, an office, tm~ <br />horses and a farm tractor. Mr. Nielson noted that Concrete Concepts is not a <br />ready-mix oompany; Concrete Conoepts installs basements and only provides men <br />to do the cement work and not the cement itself; custc~rs of Concrete Concepts <br />do not o0me to Mr. Knudson's home to do business. ~ere will be no storage of <br />fuels, oontaminants, cleaning solvents, etc. on the property. ~he balance of <br />the property will be farmed. ~e property is screer~ on the north and south <br />by trees.
