I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> <br />I~ING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />FUBLI C BEARING <br /> CI~5~ OF RAF~3EY <br /> ANOKA GU3NTY <br /> S~%TE OF MINNESO~ <br /> <br />~he Rmsey Fl~nning and Zoning O~mission oor~ucted a public bearing on <br />Tuesday, February 4, 1986 at the Ramsey Municipel Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Robert Muller's request for rezoning. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth l~terson, Chairman <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Benjamin De~mer <br />Mr. Gerald ~.i~erman <br /> <br />Mr. Charles r~nue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Ms. Anne Norris <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Muller - Stated he is requesting a rezoning of his parcel directly <br />north of the shopping oenter on the north side of 167th Avenue fr~m R-1 to B-1. <br />Mr. Muller stated he purchased this psr~el because for 4 years he has been <br />leasing 150' of this particular p~reel for additional parking area. Mr. Muller <br />stated that he has no other use, other than additioru~l p~rking space, planned <br />for this psroel at the p~esent <br /> <br />John Johnson - 16800 St. Francis Blvd. N.W. - Inquired if Mr. Muller intends to <br />develop this parcel with businesses in the future. <br /> <br />Mr. Muller - Stated that he is not intending to develop the entire parcel as <br />business at this time; he cm~s 6 acres across the street he has been trying to <br />develop; can' t say that he would never develop the subject psrcel as business; <br />main reason for requesting rezon~ng is so that the zoning will be oonsistent <br />with his existing parcel that is zoned business. <br /> <br />John Johnson - Inquired that if the subject parcel is rezoned to business, <br />would it be likely that the residential street Quicksilver would be used to <br />access that property. <br /> <br />Mr. Muller - Replied that if the parcel were developed with business, access <br />would ~st likely be from 167th. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson - Stated that if the property were rezoned to B-l, the City <br />would oontrol traffic as much as possible, with access from 167th but that is <br />February 4, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
