Absent: Chairman <br /> <br />The Thole's presented photos of the subject property showing wet areas and <br />non-typical placement of home. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0148 relating to the Thole's request for a variance from <br />location of accessory structure requirements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Peterson, Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />Shumway, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to approve <br />the Thole's request for a variance to construct an accessory structure in <br />their front yard and in front of the principal structure on the property. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Peterson, Shumway, Hendriksen, <br />Deemer, Howell and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Z immerman. <br /> <br />The Board noted that the next joint City Council/Economic Development <br />Commission/Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled for the same evening <br />as the regular Board of Adjustment meeting, November 20. <br /> <br />The next Board of Adjustment was to address the case of Northern 0xygen's <br />request to construct an addition that would encroach on the setbacks. <br />Discussion ensued as to whether or not a public hearing is required and if <br />the Board of Adjustment could handle the case prior to the regular Planning <br />and Zoning meeting on November 5 or prior to the joint meeting on November <br />20. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />table rescheduling of the November Board of Adjustment meeting until the <br />Planning and Zoning meeting of November 5. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commission consensus was that in the interim, it <br />should be determined whether or not a public hearing is required regarding <br />the request of Northern Oxygen. If so, Ms. Norris can proceed to properly <br />publish the hearing notice in order that the case can be addressed at a <br />Board of Adjustment meeting on November 20 prior to the joint <br />Council/EDC/P&Z meeting that same evening. <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment/October 30, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
