ATTACHNENT &

COHP~EREN$IVE PARK PLAN
RIVER'S BEND PARK
CITY OF RA~S~

Attached are excerpts from the City's Comprehensive Park and Open
Space Plan adopted in 1980 and included in the City's
Comprehensive Plan. The Park Plan outlines the Park and
Recreation Commission's plans based on citizen input for parkland
development through 1986. This plan notes that the City needs to
develop park areas with athletic facilities and large active use
areas. The City has anticipated the development of River's Bend
Park to include mixed recreational uses with the possibility of
future construction of a community recreation facility.

The facilities in the park will be open to the public; no fees
will be charged to use the park. Development of the park is
designed so that there is minimum conflict and as much
compatibility as possible between the park uses and the adjacent
residential usese. In addition, the City's Park and Recreation
Connnission has designated the development of River's Bend Park as
a high priority need for the community.
