DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES

Motion by Commissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Vevea to approve
regular Economic Development Commission meeting minutes dated November 14,
1984 with the following correction:

Page 2 - 8th Paragraph - Delete paragraph and replace with the following:
'Con~nissioner Cox brought up the subject of referendum bond issues and
the fact that people are informed as to what the bond issue will cost
residents - $1.76/month, for example. What the people are not told is
that the same bond issue would be costing the business owner $500/year.
Many business owners do not even have a chance for input on referndum bond
issues because they don't reside in that community; yet they are paying
most of the freight on bond issues passed. Minnesota referendum laws
should be designed to be representative of the truth in referendum issues.'

Motion carried.
