Mayor Heitman stated that he would prefer to see a more formal presentation of
what information will be included on the sign.

Mr. McLaughlin stated that he could have a sign presentation ready for
Council's first meeting in February.

Council consensus is to place Mr. McLaughlin's request for sign approval on
tonight's agenda for the purpose of determining whether the request could be
handled this evening or if it should be handled at the first Council meeting
in February.

Gregg Patton - 7005 151st Avenue NW - Stated that he submitted a petition last
year objecting to the 4x4 sand races sponsored by the Ramsey Lions; now finds
that more people than just in the immediate area object to the sand races and
would like to know if he can submit a second petition.

Mr. Schnelle stated that Council did receive the petition and took no action;
the Lions Club answered the petition and noted that they would be applying for
sand races permits annually. Mr. Schnelle stated that he thinks Mr. Patton is
concerned that he will be notified prior to Council allowing another sand race
so that he will have time to submit another petition.

Councilmember Reimann stated that citizens can petition as often as they like;
that the more information Council has to base their decision on, the better.

Mr. Patton stated that it was his understanding that the petition already
submitted will be taken into consideration when sand race permits are being
considered.

Councilmember Schlueter verified that the 1984 Council stated that the
petition received from Mr. Patton regarding sand races will be taken into
consideration when sand race permit applications are made.

~pp ~.RG~AL OF_AGENDA

Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Mayor Hetiamn to approve:

a. ~he agenda
b. ~he addendum to the agenda
c.
