Motion by Commissioner Cox that the front cover of the Economic Develo[~ment
Brochure be a picture collage of existing businesses in Ramsey and that the
size of the oollage be appropriately planned in order to allow for a front
cover heading. Further, that on page 2, that space marked for 'Staff' will be
a picture of City Hall.

Further Discussion: Commissioner Cox informed Ms. Norris that when the
necessary pictures for the brochure are being taken, he would like the
photographer to also get pictures of Ramsey Elementary and City Hall to be
used on playing cards which will be sold to aid in the cost of park
development. Councilmember Schlueter noted that Central Park should be
included on the 'City Services' page. Commission discussed the possibility of
a picture oollage of Ramsey's parks be prepared in the summer months when the
parks are actively in use. Discussion ensued regarding that the picture
collage of businesses should also be during a busy time of day for that
business and during the summer months. Commissioner Vevea noted that there is
not a lot of room on the front cover for a collage; it might not be fair to
promote only a few of Ramsey's businesses on the front cover. Commissioner
Vevea stated that maybe the front cover should promote City Hall, school, City
map, etc. Commissioner Cox replied that this brochure is intended to promote
the revenue generating side of Ramsey, not the revenue taking side.

Commissioner Fults stated that he has no problem with even naming the existing
businesses in Ramsey and seconded the motion.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Muller,
Miller, Fults, Vevea, Cox, Hardin and Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent:
Commissioner Schmidt.

Commissioner Cox inquired as to how the rest of the Commission felt about
noting in the brochure that Ramsey is adjacent to a major trade area offering
such services as: county courthouse, post office, major banking firms, legal
profession, major firms like Federal Cartridge and Cornelius.

Motion by Commissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Fults that a page be
included in the brochure regarding the trade area surrounding Ramsey.

Further Discussion: Commissioner Vevea stated that this trade area page
should also note that Ramsey is a very short distance from the County Seat.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Muller,
Miller, Fults, Vevea, Cox, Hardin and Wagner. Voting No: None. Absent:
Commissioner Schmidt.

~ Review Of ~aD.ter_ 8 _Of City Char.ter_.Bv City Attorney:

Tabled.

~ Results.Of_Business And Industry S~rvev=

Commission noted receiving survey results.
