ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA CO3NTY <br /> STATE OF MINNES(YI~ <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey Economic Develounent Commission was held on <br />~hursday, January 24, 1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Darryl Fults, Vice-Chairman <br />Mr. Bob Muller <br />Mr. Arnie Cox <br />Mr. Bernie Vevea <br />Mr. Glen Hardin <br />Mr. Ken Wagner <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Don Greenberg, Chairman <br />Mr. Steve Schmidt <br />Mr. Bill Miller <br /> <br />Vice-chairman Fults called the special meeting to order at 7:50 a.m. <br /> <br />Discussion_On Citize. n Concern Reaardinq Sewer_And Water In <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that there is still a lot of citizen concern <br />regarding sewer and water coming to their neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Vevea and seconded by Commissioner Muller that the <br />Ramsey City Council initiate the preparation of a City position stat~m~nt in <br />regards to sewer and water and the affects to community residents as it <br />appears at this time; further, that this City position statement be published <br />in the Ramsey Resident Newsletter. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Hardin inquired if the statement would also <br />include information regarding those areas targeted for sewer and water <br />service. Councilmember Cox stated that it is important that the residents in <br />the outer perimeter of the City be made aware that it is absolutely not <br />feasible that they will have sewer and water; even if 100% of their <br />neighborhood wants sewer and water, there is no way the City can get it out <br />there. Councilmember COx also stated that all the facts should be told, there <br />is nothing to hide; also tell the people why some of the areas are getting <br />sewer and water now and why it will not get to their area.
