Mr. Bunes suggested that a <br />noise level test be run during the races this year. Councilmember COx stated <br />that if the noise oontinues to be a problem, he guarantees the sand races will <br />be shut down next year. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox amended his motion to include that the Ramsey Lions be <br />required to post a $500.00 for litter clean-up; that traffic on 149th will be <br />controlled; and that the Lions Club will have a difficult time getting sand <br />race approval next year if the problems mentioned are not corrected. <br /> <br />Councilm~er Reimarm seconded the amendment to the motion. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: City Attorney Goodrich noted that this approval for a <br />temporary conditional use permit would not be illegal without a findings of <br />fact, but Council should adopt some. Mr. Vic Bunes requested that the motion <br />also include that verifiable noise levels tests be run during the races this <br />year. <br /> <br />Mayor Beitman called for a roll call vote: <br /> <br />Councilme~ber Schlueter - Naye <br />Councilme~er Reimann - Aye <br />Councilmember Cox - Aye <br />Councilmember Sorteberg - Aye <br />Mayor ~eitman - Naye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Jerry I{anly - 9335 173rd Avenue N.W. - Requested City approval for the Lions <br />Club to place temporary 'No Parking' signs along the residential streets <br />adjacent to the sand race area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and secor~ed by Councilmerber Reimann authorizing <br />the Lions Club to place temporary 'No Parking' signs on certain residential <br />streets abutting the sand race area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor lieitman, Councilm~rs Sorteberg, (lox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 10:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor ~{eitman called the Council meeting back to order at 10:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Oouncilmsnber Schlueter noted that because of certain P.U.D. requests ooming <br />before the City, Planning and Zoning has requested that a joint meeting <br />between 'Council, Metro Council and Planning and Zoning be scheduled to discuss <br />rural residential density. <br /> <br />February 26, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 22 of 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
