!

I
I
I
I
I
!

I
I
I
I
I
I

INTRCDUCTION

~he City of Ramsey is located 20 miles nothwest of the
Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Ramsey's current population is
10,860, and is projected to reach over 17,500 within 15 years.
Ramsey is adjacent to the City of Anoka, which is the county seat
of Anoka County.
]he City of Ramsey is on the move and we want you and your
business to grow with us. ~he primary reason out population has
grown from 2,360 in 1970 to over 10,860 today, is due to the
rural setting of Ramsey. Our City has planned for the future,
with its zoning of large residential lots, an expanded community
park syst(~n, large industrial parks, and many other amenities to
preserve our rural setting and our quality of life. Our city
planners realize the importance of providing an economic
environment which is conducive to the operation of a profitable
business; and the need to provide employment opportunities for
our citizens.

Our City Council, our Economic Development Commission, and our
Local Development Corporation are encouraging the development and
expansion of commerce and industry within our City. Our city
government and staff is cooperative and receptive to new plans
and ideas, and our commissions are willing and able to provide
the necessary assistance to facilitate the start of a new
business, or the relocation of your existing business to Ramsey.

If any questions should arise as you look through the enclosed
information, please feel free to contact our city staff or any
member of the Economic Development Commission at 427-1410.

Photograph - City Hall
