In that survey, 54.3% of the
respondents felt a need to encourage new business in Ramsey and
51.4% felt a need to encourage expansion of current facilities.
Ramsey currently has many different and varied types of
commercial, industrial, and retail businesses. City businesses
include light and heavy manufacturing, warehousing, high-tech,
and of course, numerous retail businesses.
~he availability of a skilled work force is one major attraction
to Ramsey. Because of Ramsey's proximity to the metropolitan
area, the Anoka Area Vocational Technical Institute, and the
Anoka Ramsey Community College, the City has the resources to
attract a skilled and capable work force.

Photograph
Mate Punch & Die Co.

Nils E. Sundquist, President, Mate Punch & Die, Co.:
"Ihe City of Ramsey has proven to be an excellent location. It
has been capable of supplying a willing and trained work force
and is within convenient reach of reliable sources of supply and
competent professional assistance. I've never regreted locating
here."

-3-
