I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />PR~EDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> tA~L] C H EAR L~ <br /> CITY OF RAM~EY <br /> ANOKA CDUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council oonducted a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municit~l Center, 15153 Nc~then Blvd. N.W., R~TLsey, Minnesota <br />regarding Sea]c~ating Improv~,ent Project ~85-10, Oakridge Estates. <br /> <br />Me, rs Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary He~tman <br />Councilm~nber A1 Sorteberg <br />Council~m%ber Jean Schlueter <br />Councilm~ber Arnie COx <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City A~inistrator Llc~yd Schnelle <br />Director of Technica/ Services Clayton Berg <br />City Attorney Goodric~ <br />Larry Koshak of Hakanson/Anderson Engineering <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilp~er Reimann <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the public bearing to order at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION BY ENGINEER <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koshak gave a slide presentation of Sea/ooating Improv~ent Project <br />~85-10 shc~ing affected area and estimated total and per unit oosts. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INM3T <br /> <br />Resident - 8450 166th Circle - Stated that the issue of who p~ys for <br />sealooating is causing a lot of oontroversy and Council should take a hint and <br />take the necessary action to have sealcoating paid for out of the City's fund. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Cox stated that Ramsey does not get it's fair share of local <br />aids, which we pay into; Ramsey's share of local aids is pittence in <br />comparison to what other cities of similar population size are receiving. <br />Councilmamber Cox reommmended that the citizens oontact their legislators <br />regarding Ramsey getting back it's fair share of tax dollars into the <br />community. Not getting a fair share of the tax dollars is the reason for the <br />fund shortage in Ramsey and the need to assess out sealcoating oosts. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber Schlueter and seoonded by Councilm~r Sorteberg to <br />adjourn this public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: <br /> <br />Mayor Beitman, Councilm~bers Sorteberg, Cox, <br /> April 9, 1985 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
