MACI understands well
the property tax problem, and we have written about it in our bulletins
and elsewhere. We have put on over 20 educational seminars on the
property tax problem for business in the past two years--in various
cities in Minnesota. We have testified at the legislature in favor
of the following tax reforms in order of priority: 1.) Individual
income tax 2.) commercial-industrial real estate tax 3.) sales tax
on capital equipment and capital investment.

It may interest you to note Legislature to our
that
the
1984
reacted
educational seminars on the commercial--/~ndustrial property tax by passing
a law, with little public notice, that makes appeals of property taxes
much more difficult.

I have enclosed a complete copy of our 1985 legislative program.

Mark S.
