I I I I I I I I CRDC APPROVES PROJECTS Induslrlal Door expansion planned for Summer of 1985. CRDC has given final approval for an SBA 503 loan to Metric Tool and Stamping, Inc., a tool, die, jig, fixture and special machinery manufacturer. Metric Tool has more than doubled its sales in the last two years and will be constructing a larger facility in the Coon Rapids Industrial Park this summer. Bowling Trades, Inc., a company acting as a wholesaler for bowling supplies and equipment and service has also received final SBA loan approval from the CRDC for the construction of a 10,000 square foot facility which will also be located in Coon Rapids Industrial Park. Industrial Door Co. has received preliminary approval for the construction of a separate building on the site adjacent to its existing facility to house Industrial Spring Co. Without this program, these businesses would not have been able to obtain financing for their expan- sions. In the past year alone, over 57 new jobs have been created in Coon Rapids by eight of these busi- nesses, some of which have been in their facility for only a few months. The SBA loan programs benefit the Coon Rapids Area and the national budget by providing the means to create jobs and, unlike many other forms of government assistance, the SBA returns the ma- jority of its funds to the federal budget. As you know, President Reagan has included the abolishment of the SBA in his federal budget cut- backs. Your support of the continued operation of the Small Business Administration is essential!
