'1 <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br />PRO(~EDINGS OF CITY OOUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANCKA (/)UNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City 0ouncil was held on Tuesday, May 28, 1985 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Hei~man <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Oouncil~r A1 Sorteberg <br />Oouncilm~ber Arnie Gox <br />Counciln~m~r Gary Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich (Arrived 9:25 p.m.) <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka 0%rrived 8:45 p.m. ) <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the regular (buncil meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION TO BOY SOOUT~ROOP 204 <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman presented a plaque to the m~bers of Boy Scout Troop 204 in <br />appreciation for their dedicated effort in maintairdng that area in the <br />vicinity of the landfill free from litter. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Richard Andrewsen - 5265 177th Avenue N~ - Stated that he recently had a fire <br />at his h~me and requested Council approval to move in a mobile ho~ to his <br />property as a temporary dwelling while repairs are being m~ to the ~e. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that as a result of oontinous, costly problems created by <br />allying mobile hc~es in Ramsey, a past Gouncil eliminated the Mobile Home <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />'Oounci]mmmber (Dx stated that he understands the City's past problens with <br />mobile ms but feels that in a situation of fire, allowances could be made; <br />all~wing the property owner to use a temporary mobile dwelling on the property <br />would also insure that the structure under repair would be properly monitored. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Reimann stated that in considering the problems and costs to <br />taxpayers in the past 15 years as a result of so called 'temporary' mobile <br />hemes, he does not want to be a part of allowing another mobile home in <br /> <br />May 28, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 5 of 31 <br /> <br /> <br />
