Go~lcil should deal with isst~s a~d ~ot personalities <br />and enoourage that the cooperation demonstrated at tonight's meeting continues <br />in the future. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman referred to a ~ dated Sept~ber 6, 1985 frc~ Mr. Mevissen to <br />Mayor and COLmCil regarding use of City truck for hauling free food for r~-c~y <br />f~ilies to the Senior Oenter at George Green Park several ~ a year. <br /> <br />Motion by Cb~cilme~ber Oox and seconded by Gouncilme~ber Reimann approving Mr. <br />Mevissen's request to use City truck and neoessary fuel to deliver food for <br />~cdy f~ilies to the distribution site at various times during the year. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Goodrich stated that the truck is City equi~ent and <br />the City is liable e~en when that equiI~ent is being used for a charitable <br />errand. Gouncilma~ber Reimann requested that Mr. Mevissen keep a log of <br />mileage and fuel used on these charitable errands. <br /> <br />Motic~ carried. Votig No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Schrm/le stated that there will be a meeting with Representatives Hart/nger <br />and Schrieber o~ September lB, 1985 at 11..00 a.m. in Rc~m 543 of the State <br />Office Building to discuss fiscal disparity, p~operty tax and local aids. <br /> <br />Mr. ~le referred to the develoI~ent Ixoposed in Bloc~ington by the <br />Ghermezian Brothers and stated that there has been sc~e discussion of the <br />entire metro area financing that development; there is a group forming up to <br />lobby against that financing method and they may be approaching R~sey in the <br />near future for financial support in that lobbying effort. <br /> <br />Mayor Beitman stated that he will ~e ramble to attend the meeting on September <br />lB with Representatives Hartinger and Schrieber but he and Mr. Schne/le will <br />lxepare a letter regarding R~a~sey's oonoerns. <br /> <br />Oo~cilmember Gox stated that he ~ reoeived c~m~ents indicating that Ra~sey's <br /> Sept~ber 10, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 10 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
