Econc~ic and Finance Suboanrittee <br />c. l%3b!icity Subcommittee <br /> <br />CASE #2: U~ ON REOUEST FROM MATE REGARDING EXTENSION OF <br /> SANITARY SEWER <br /> <br />The Econ~ric a~ Finance Subcommittee wet with Arlin <br />Waelti, Bond Counsel, regarding this matter. Ms. <br />Waelti offered so~e suggestions for possible financing <br />of the extension of sewer and water to the industrial <br />area so that the City can recoup some of its costs. <br />The Subcommittee took these suggestions to the City's <br />fiscal consultants for further discussion and work. <br />Members of this subcommittee will comment on their <br />progress at the meeting. <br /> <br />G%SE #3: DISCUSSION R~ING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF MPCA PdDGU- <br /> LATIG~S REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS WASTES <br /> <br />As you know, Waltek has been notified by the Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) of alleged violations <br />of hazardous waste disposal violations. The City <br />Council discussed this matter and at its August 27, <br />1985 ~eeting, the Council directed the EDC to research <br />the possibility of obtaining information regarding MPCA <br />regulations regarding hazardous waste processing. In <br />addition, the Council requested that the EDC put this <br />information in the form of an article for the Tri-City <br />Newsletter. <br /> <br />Enclosed in (D2-a) is the following information= <br /> <br />a.
