Mr. Schnelle stated that he did talk with Mr, Steinbrecher of Lutheran Brotherhood and evidently the revenms 9enerated through the boat raffle will not qualify as matching dollars because the tickets did not name Lutheran Brotherhood as the co-sponsor; the ball tournament was not conducted according to grant offer requirements either; and at that time directed Ms. Beyer to inform Ms. Looyen of this situation and advise that the committee meet with Mr. Steinbrecher. fbuncilmember Cox stated that while he served on the fund raising c~mittee, Mr. Steinbrecher never informed the {x~mittee of these require~ents being brought to light at this ~eeting. Council consensus is that the Ramsey Park Board act as a catalyst and call a meeting between themselves, the fund raising oommittee, Mr. Steinhrecher and a representative fr~ the Lutheran Brotherhood corporate headquarters in order to determine the ground rules for grant offer application and fund raising pr~ects and report back to City Council. Council ~onsensus is that if the fund raising effort pgoccc~3s, councilm~bers should not serve on the fund raising oapmittee. Motion by Councilmember COx and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to adjourn this special Council meeting. Motion carried.
