(Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution ~85-24). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Goodrich suggested that after this resolution is <br />adopted, Oouncil discuss which areas should be notified of the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman a~ended his motion to include: <br /> <br />1. ghat the hearing notice be published in the City's official <br /> newspaper, the Anoka County Union. <br /> <br />2. ghe the hearing notice be published in the Anoka Shopper. <br /> <br />3. ghat all property owners within 350' of the mining area receive <br /> notice of the public hearing. <br /> <br />4. ghat the public hearing be advertised on Cable T.V. <br /> <br />CouncilOr Sorteberg seconded the amendment to the motion. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Council~m~m~rs Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />b) Letter Dated January 4, 1985 From Anoka County To City Of Ramsey Approving <br /> Closure/Post Closure Plan And Financial Assurance For Landfill - <br /> <br />Council noted. <br /> <br />c) Council Discussion And Action Regarding Metro Council's Proposed Draft <br /> Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan - <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox and Mr. Schnelle reoommend that City Attorney Goodrich <br />present Ramsey's response to the Metro Council's Proposed Draft Solid Waste <br />Management Development Guide/Policy Plan at the Metro Council public hearing <br />scheduled for January 28, 1985. <br /> <br />CouncilOr Schlueter requested that compensation for hosting oommunities <br />and responsibility for cont~mmination cleanup be stressed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember COx and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to adopt <br />City Staff's written response to the Metro Council's Proposed Draft Solid <br />Waste Management Development Guide/policy Plan and that the City Attorney <br />present that response as Ramsey's position at the Metro Council public hearing <br />on January 28, 1985 at 1:30 p.m. Further, that the Mayor, City Administrator <br />and any interested oouncil persons also attend that public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
