CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT .PROJECT 85-16 CENTRAL PARK LIGHTING CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA November 27, 1985 Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. ********************************************************************* The City has decided to change or add the following items of work to the contract for this project: Changes Decrease in Contract Price Increase in Contract Price Delete the fence and roof over the electrical equipment $3,500.00 Delete the concrete slab for the transformer $ 250.00 Relocate the remote ballasts twelve feet above ground elevation Totals ($3,750.00) $ 4~880.00 $ 4,880.00 Net Change in Contract Price $ 1,130.00 Necessit~ for Chanqe Order No. 1: The added cost of installing a roof and fence around the electrical panel is not justifed at this time, since it is proposed to construct a park building to shelter the electrical and mechanical equipment in the future. Since integral ballasts systems were allowed by the Contract documents in the bidding process, the contractor bid the remote ballasts near the top of poles to be competitive with the other bidders. By lowering the ballasts to 12 feet above ground level, the costs of any maintenance in the future will be greatly decreased, since the ballasts will be accessible with a ladder or service truck. The amount of the Contract will increase by the sum of: One Thousand One Hundred Thirty and 00/100 Dollars ($1,130.00). The Contract total including this change order will be: Seventy-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Five and 00/100 Dollars $74,905.00). The Contract period provided for completion will be unchanged.
