Floodway: The channel of the watercourse and those portions of the adjoining flood plain which are reasonably required to carry and discharge the regional flood. Floor Area: The sum of the gross horizontal areas of the several floors of a building or buildings measured from the exterior faces of exterior walls or from the centerline of party walls. Floor Area Ratio: The total floor area on a zor~ing lot divided by the total site area of the lot or parcel being developed.
