I I I I I I I I I I I i i I I i I I I PROCEEDINGS ~ CITY CX)~NCIL ANC3{~ OCUN~ B'I~TE OF MINNF..SCY~ A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on ~]~ursday, March 7, 1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Gary Reitman Oouncilmember Jean Schlueter Councilmember A1 Sorteber9 Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle City Planner Anne Norris Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg City Engineer Peter Raatikka City Attorney William Goodrich (arrived 8:10 p.m.) Members Absent: Councilmember Gary Reimann Councilmember Arnie COx Mayor Beitman called the special Council meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ~PPROX!AL OF A~E. NDA Council consensus was to accept the agenda as submitted with the following adjustments: a. Discussion of pop machine installation at City Hall. b. As Councilpersons wishing to speak to Cases ~1 and ~2 are not yet present, Case ~3 will be taken up as the first item of business. Lorin Stephenson - Wuorio Sales - 9619 Bwy. 10 - Stated that the company was told over the phone that there would be no problems in obtaining a building permit to oonstruct a storage building; now the materials have been delivered and they find that there are more technical requir~nents involved. Mr. Berg stated that City Hall was under the impression that it was to be an average storage building on a residential lot, which requires no plans being submitted; but it is a storage building in a B-1 zone. Ramsey has always required site and design plans and develotl~ent agreements for oommercial buildings. Mr. Berg stated that there is also a question regarding warehouse use in a B-1 zone, a zone for Ietail sales. Mr. Berg also noted that Wuorio Sales is located in Elk River, and the adjacent lot on which the storage building is to be constructed, is located in Ramsey.
