Mr. Johnson referred to Ite~ 5.c in the findings of fact and stated that the <br />closest automobile sales site is within 100 yards and not 1 mile as stated in <br />the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson referred to Item 5 in the Conditional Use Agreenent and stated <br />that rather than the September 1, 1986 date he would prefer a t/me limit of 1- <br />1/2 years after l~cense approval on having the temporary office building <br />removed. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson referred to Item 1 in the Conditional Use Agreement and stated <br />that a portable bathroom facility will be on the property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember COx and seconded by Councilmenker Reimann to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0099 for Mr. Allan Johnson's request for a conditional use <br />permit to sell automobiles in an I-l, Industrial District, and to utilize a <br />temporary building for temporary office s~ce, contingent upon his entering <br />into a develoI~ent agreement with the City. Further, the foll~ing <br />corrections will be made to the Findings of Fact: (Please refer to findings <br />of fact file for Findings of Fact 0099). <br /> <br />1. All references to 'mobile home' in the Findings of Fact should be <br /> changed to ' temporary building'. <br /> <br />2. ~ne distance of 1 mile stated in Item 5.c of the Findings of Fact <br /> should be changed to 100 yards <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor ~ei~an, Councilms~bers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmenker COx and seoonded by Councilme~ber Reimann to approve <br />of Mr. Allan Johnson's request for a conditional use permit to sell <br />automobiles in an I-l, Industrial District, and to utilize a t~mporary <br />building for temporary office s~ce, contingent upon his entering into a <br />development agreement with the City. Further, the following correction shall <br />be made to the Conditional Use Agreement: <br /> <br />1. All references to 'mobile hc~e' in the Conditional Use Agreement <br /> shall be changed to 'temporary building'. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Jim Armstrong stated that Ramsey has the capability <br />to be another Edina, but not when Council keeps approving the construction of <br />tin buildings along Hwy. 10, portable bathroom facilities at places of <br />business and allowing junk yards to exist in the City. Mayor ~eitman stated <br />that Item ~8 in the Agreenent gives the City the right to inspect the property <br />should complaints come in. Mr. Schnelle stated that the City does have a <br />zoning ordinance in plaoe for enforcement purposes. Mr. Armstrong stated that <br />he has complained about a certain residence at cry. Rd. 83 and 153rd with wood <br />piles and heavy equipment and Staff is reluctant to do anything about it. <br />Mayor ~eitman stated that the ordinances are there and the City is simply not <br />enforcing them.
