Mr. <br />Petrucci also r~ted that legislation was p~ssed recently granting <br />municipalities more rights in the way of granting variances to see that <br />develoI~ent occurs. Mr. Petrucci also r~ted that developed areas surrounding <br />his plat..-is one acre lots. <br /> <br />(lm~issioner Z~merman noted that the City cannot grant variances based on <br />economic factors; and that there isn't anywhere in Ramsey that you can develop <br />and not have 1 acre developments nearby. <br /> <br />The Oaa~ission stated that the City's policy not to go with 1 acre develo~ent <br />is based on the fact that the City just recently went frc~ a 1 in 10 density to <br />a 1 in 2-1/2 density and to avoid health hazards that create a rm~d for <br />municipal sewer and water. <br /> <br />Motion by Co~dssioner Deemer and seconded by (kmmdssio~r Zimperman to deny <br />the request to replat Meadow Brook Estates to one. acre lots and to advise the <br />applicant not to proceed with any further platting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
