Mr. Fountain referred to his comments in the 17th p~ragraph on page 20 of the July 9 minutes and stated those oomments would be more appro~xiately placed under the heading of Case ~11 Discussion Of Request For Liquor License Renewal; Case of J.R. ' s Saloon. O~uncil consensus is that the minutes should represent the actual sequence of events and Mr. Fountain's comments were placed appropriately. Motion by Oouncilmeaber (Dx and seconded by (Duncilmember Reimann to approve the special City (Duncil meeting minutes dated July 9, 1985 with the following cor r ections: 1. Page 18 - 9th paragraph - second line - change to read as follows: "Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None." Page 10 - add the following paragraph below the first paragraph: "Mayor Heitman thanked Mr. Patton for his comments and inquired if Mr. Patton was the prime mo~er of the petition against the sand races. Mr. Patton replied that he was." 5 Page 21 - 8th paragraph - 4th line - change to read as follows: "the license is contingent upon: 1) payment by the applicant of the property" 4. Page 9 - 8th paragraph - 3rd line - change to read as follows: "Gilbertson tax statement." Be Page 7 - 5th paragrat~h - 2nd line - change to read as follows: "Council meeting; there is a question in regards to the legallity of how this entire issue has been conducted." 5 Page7 - 6th paragraph - delete and replade with the following: "Councilmamber (Dx stated that he had received a phone call from Mr. Berg in which Mr. Berg stated that Mr. Gilbertson was in the the City Office regarding his liquor license. Oouncilm~ber (Dx stated that he told Mr. Berg, at that time, to explain to Mr. Gilbertson the proper procedure for requesting that a special meeting be held." Further Discussion: Mayor Hei~an stated that an important factor is that there is additional information available regarding this council meeting and he doesn' t see any reason not to make use of that information. Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to amend the motion approving the July 9 minutes by excluding that one area of the minutes on page 8 regarding Councilm~mber Reimann's oo~ents; to direct the City Attorney to review the tapes and Council can then proceed to approve that portion of the minutes according to the Attorney's interpretation of the tapes.
