Absents <br />Co~nissioner Kennen. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Carson was present and stated that he is representing Mrs. ~olm, the <br />property owner at Oounty Road 1116 and Magnesim, who is requesting the, <br />subdivision of 2 three acre parcels from her B acre tercel. T~e two lots <br />resulting from the subflivtsion would have Magnesit~ Street [~lIlil~g thro0~h <br />them and a majority of the lot areas is covered by wetlar~/lake. Each of the <br />t~o lots would have approximately 1/4 acre of land area that would be suitable <br />for building. <br /> <br />I Ms. Norris stated that the City Engineer has determined that the City cannot <br /> plat with a street runnin9 through the 16ts as the lots would ~ot then be <br /> contiguous; the pieces of la~d west of Magnesim are not buildable lots; the <br />I of property west of Magnesim are not adequate in size for <br /> pieoes <br /> buildin~ <br /> until there is muni¢if~l services to that area. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />(Dmmission consensus is to consider the plat if the subdivision created one 1 <br />acre parcel that would not cross Magnesium. <br /> <br />Mr. Carson noted that the property was contiguous until the Magnesim roadway <br />was dcc~ed to the City but he will explore other alternatives with the <br />property owner. <br /> <br />Ca.ge ~ P,t~iI~l~~~~v~! ~ ~leI1 ~rteberg: <br /> <br />Mr. Alan Sorteberg was present and provided the Ommission with copies of a <br />sketch plan that replats outlots on Sorteberg's Second and ~hird Additions. <br /> <br />The Ommission approved the sketch plan and advised Mr. Sorteberg to procccd <br />to the platting and public hearing stage. <br /> <br />Case 15: ~siolkRegarding~ication Of_Z~l~ts Qr~lance: <br /> <br />The Ommission proceeded to review B-l, Business District. <br /> <br />The (lmmdssion determined that an official opinion from the Fire Chief and <br />Building Inspector should be obtained regarding the 35' ~eight limit on <br />buildirgs. <br /> <br />The Co,fission discussed going with 'performance standards' rather than <br />'permiited uses'. <br /> <br />Motion by Go~ssioner LaDue and seoonded by G~ssioner Dc~--ner to direct <br />City Planner Anne Norris to obtain for the Gmmission, copies of 'performance <br />standards' used in other communities and to schedule a recodification work <br />session for Wednesday, May 21. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
