Request for variance to construct accessory building larger than <br /> permitted by City Code; case of Mr. Peter Nieder. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman called the special Council meeting back to order at 8:13 p.m. <br /> <br />MISC~:~_ ANEOUS <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that City Aci~inistrator Schnelle has sukmitted a <br />letter of resignation and this should be placed on tonight's agenda for <br />discussion and action. <br /> <br />Council consensus is to add the follc~ing ite~ to the agenda: <br /> <br />Case ~13: Letter of resignation from City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Newsletter Contract Approval: <br /> <br />Mr. Greg Bergeron - Bergeron and Associates - Mr. Bergeron stated that the last <br />three issues of the Tri-City Newsletter had a net loss of $1,710.57; in <br />checking, the last issue had a net gain of $239. It has beoome apparent that <br />Bergeron and Associates must remain an ad agency rather than a I~,h] ication <br />agency. Campaign Success Incorporated, a spin-off publication agency of <br />Bergeron and Associates and they are proposing a contract with Ramsey, Andover <br />and Anoka for the publication of the Tri-City Newsletter. 7t~e current contract <br />with Ramsey has expired and Bergeron is proposing to publish the September <br />issue with Campaign Success becoming the publisher of record with the November <br />issue. A meeting on this subject was held with the 3 newsletter ooordinators <br />and city administrators and they could foresee no problems as long as there <br />would be no change in procedures and format of the newsletter. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann arrived at this time. <br /> <br />Councilm~nber Cox stated that the publication frequency of the newsletter is a <br />concern; the Charter contains certain things to be published in the newsletter <br />and the bi-monthly time frame can cause quite a delay for some things to <br />happen; the lead time for sukmitting articles also led to a situation of 'old <br />news'.
